AFS description: ‘Huet's Wulveniet’- No. 6963 (Braam 2009) Double. Upright. COROLLA: bell shaped, half flared, wavy petal margins; opens magenta (67B); matures reddish purple (66A); 25 mm (1") long x 25mm (1") wide. PETALOIDS: reddish purple (67A), orange (30B) flame;10mm (3/8”) long x 8mm (5/16”) wide. SEPALS are fully up, tips reflexed; rose (54C) upper surface; dark rose (54B) lower surface; 25mm (1") long x 13mm (1/2") wide. TUBE is light pink (55D); medium length & thickness; 12mm (7/16") long x 8mm (5/16") wide. STAMENS extend 12mm (7/16”) beyond the corolla; reddish purple (67A) filaments; magenta (67B) anthers. PISTIL extends 22mm (7/8”) beyond the corolla; rose (68C) style; very pale orange (27C) stigma. BUD is round. FOLIAGE is dark green (137A) upper surface; medium green (139B) lower surface. Leaves are 70mm (2 3/4") long x 40mm (1 9/16") wide, cordate shaped, serrulate edges, acute tips, rounded bases. Veins are green, stems are red & branches are green. PARENTAGE: ‘Huet’s Labradoriet’ x (‘Braamt’s Glorie’ x ‘Sacramento Bells’). Lax upright or stiff trailer; self branching. Makes good basket or standard. Heat tolerant if shaded. Best bloom & foliage in filtered light. Tested 3 years in Doetinchem, The Netherlands. Fuchsia Nieuwigheden Certificering. Distinguished by bloom color. |
