2004) Single. Upright. COROLLA: quarter flared, turned under wavy petal
margins; opens magenta (67B); matures reddish purple (64B); 13mm (1/2”)
long x 9mm (3/8”) wide. SEPALS: horizontal; tips recurved; rose (55B),
rose (55C) base, tipped light yellowish green (150C) upper surface; rose
(68B) lower surface; 19mm (3/4”) long x 6mm (1/4”) wide. TUBE: rose (54C);
medium length & thickness; 15mm (9/16”) long x 3mm (1/8”) wide. STAMENS:
extend 2mm (1/16”) below corolla; pale purple (75D) filaments; pale
yellowish green (149D) anthers. PISTIL: extends 6mm (1/4”) below the
corolla; pale purple (75C) style; pale yellow green (150D) stigma. BUD:
cordate shaped. FOLIAGE: medium green (137B) upper surface, medium green
(138B) lower surface. Leaves are 46mm (1 13/16”) long x 28mm (1 1/8”)
wide, ovate shaped, serrulated edges, acute tips and rounded bases. Medium
Green (138B) veins; dark reddish purple (187D) & medium green (138B)
stems; dark reddish purple (187D) & medium green (139C) branches.
PARENTAGE: ‘WALZ Trompet’ x ‘Mrs. W.P. Wood’.
Small upright. Self branching. Makes good upright or standard.
Prefers full sun. Best bloom and foliage color in bright light. Tested 4
years in Doetinchem, The Netherlands. Award at Meise, 9/8/03.
