AFS description:  ‘Huet’s Koolmees’ – No 8494 (Braam 2015) Double. Upright. COROLLA: three quarter flared, square shaped, wavy petal margins; opens purple (83A) & pink (55C), white flames; matures pink (55C); 30mm (1 3/16") long x 25mm (1") wide. PETALOIDS: light pink (62C); 5mm (3/16”) long x 3mm (1/8”) wide. SEPALS are fully up, tips recurved, twisted right to left; light reddish purple (73A) upper surface; light rose (73B) lower surface; 25mm (1") long x 15mm (9/16") wide. TUBE is pale pink (62D); short, medium thickness; 10 mm (3/8") long x 5mm (3/16") wide. STAMENS extend 20mm (3/4”) beyond the corolla; pink (55C) filaments; white (155B) anthers. PISTIL extends 15mm (9/16”) beyond the corolla; pink (55C) style; white (155A) stigma. BUD is bulbous. FOLIAGE is dark green (133A) upper surface; medium green (138B) lower surface. Leaves are 45mm (1 3/4”) long x 30mm (1 3/16”) wide, ovate shaped, serrate edges, acute tips, obtuse bases. Veins, stems & branches are green. PARENTAGE: ‘Guurtje’ x ‘Huet’s Labradoriet’. Tall upright. Self branching. Makes good upright, standard or pyramid. Prefers overhead filtered light, warm climate. Best bloom & foliage color in filtered light.
