2004) Semi-double. Upright. COROLLA: quarter flared, turned under wavy
petal margins; opens pale yellowish green (150D); matures light yellowish
green (150C); 6mm (1/4”) long, 8mm (5/16”) wide. SEPALS: half down; tips
reflexed; red (53B) upper surface; red (53C) lower surface; 21mm (13/16”)
long x 10mm (3/8”) wide. TUBE: red (53B); medium length, thick; 18mm
(11/16”) long x 9mm (3/8”) wide. STAMENS: extend 5mm (3/16”) below
corolla; light magenta (57D) filaments; light pink (65C) anthers. PISTIL:
extends 13mm (1/2”) below the corolla; magenta (58B) style; light pink
(62B) stigma. BUD: oblong. FOLIAGE: medium green (139B) upper surface;
medium green (138B) lower surface. Leaves are 61mm (2 3/8”) long x 42mm (1
11/16”) wide, ovate shaped, serrulated edges, acute tips and rounded
bases. Plum (183D) veins; plum (183B) stems; plum/medium green (183B/138B)
branches. PARENTAGE: ‘WALZ Saxofoon’ x unknown.
Tall upright. Makes good upright or standard. Prefers overhead
filtered light, warm climate. Best bloom and foliage color in bright
light. Tested 3 years in Doetinchem, The Netherlands. Award, Meise,
