flared, wavy petal margins; opens reddish purple (66A), purple (82A)
flames; matures reddish purple (67A); 20 mm (13/16") long x 10mm (3/8")
wide. SEPALS are half down, tips reflexed; red (46C) upper surface;
dark rose (54A) lower surface; 50mm (2") long x 15mm (9/16") wide. TUBE is
red (46B); long & medium thickness; 45mm (1 3/4") long x 5mm (3/16") wide.
STAMENS extend 2mm (1/16”) beyond the corolla; magenta (57A) filaments;
pale yellow (158B) anthers. PISTIL extends 10mm (3/8”) beyond the corolla;
magenta (57A) style; magenta (63B) stigma. BUD is long, thick. FOLIAGE is
dark green (137A) upper surface; medium green (138B) lower surface. Leaves
are 90mm (3 9/16") long x 45mm (1 3/4") wide, cordate shaped, wavy edges,
acute tips, rounded bases. Veins are reddish green, stems are red &
branches are red. PARENTAGE: ‘WALZ Harp’ x ‘Quasar’. Lax upright or stiff
trailer; self branching. Makes good basket or upright. Prefers full sun,
warm climate. Best bloom & foliage in bright light. Tested 6 years in
Doetinchem, The Netherlands.
