2005) Single. Upright/Trailer. COROLLA is half flared with turned under
wavy petal margins; opens reddish purple (61B); matures magenta (58B);
16mm (5/8”) long x 12mm (1/2”) wide. SEPALS are horizontal, tips recurved;
rose (51C), tipped light apple green (145B) upper surface; dark rose (51A)
tipped light apple green (145B) lower surface; 23mm (15/16”) long x 8mm
(5/16”) wide. TUBE is light pink (49CC); long & thin; 19mm (3/4”) long x
4mm (3/16”) wide. STAMENS extend 4mm (3/16”) beyond the corolla; magenta
(57C) filaments; dark reddish purple (59A) anthers. PISTIL does not extend
below the corolla; light rose (58D) style; pale yellow (1D) stigma. BUD is
elongated. FOLIAGE: medium green (138A) upper surface; medium green (138B)
lower surface. Leaves are 69mm (2 3/4”) long x 38mm (1 1/2”) wide, ovate
shaped, serrulated edges, obtuse tips and rounded bases. Veins are red
(53B); stems are dark red (53A); branches are grayish red (181B).
PARENTAGE: ‘WALZ Harp’ x ‘Lye’s Excelsior’. Lax upright or stiff trailer.
Self branching. Makes good basket or upright. Prefers overhead filtered
light or full sun, warm climate. Best bloom & foliage color in limited
light. Tested three years in Doetinchem, The Netherlands. Meise 8-14-04,
