2004) Semi-double. Upright/Trailer. COROLLA: three quarter flared, turned
under wavy petal margins; opens light reddish purple (73A), dark reddish
purple (72A) base; matures purple (77A); 18mm (11/16”) long x 21mm
(13/16”) wide. PETALOIDS: light reddish purple (73A), reddish purple (70B)
base; 13mm (1/2”) long x 10mm (3/8”) wide. SEPALS: half up; tips reflexed
up; rose (68B) tipped light apple green (145B) upper surface; magenta
(68A) tipped light apple green (145B) lower surface; 21mm (13/16”) long x
11mm (7/16”) wide. TUBE: rose (68B); short & thick; 11mm (7/16”) long x
7mm (1/4”) wide. STAMENS: extend 14mm (9/16”) below corolla; reddish
purple (72B) filaments; dark purple (79B) anthers. PISTIL: extends 16mm
(5/8”) below the corolla; light reddish purple (72C) style; white (155B)
stigma. BUD: cordate shaped. FOLIAGE: dark green (137A) upper surface,
medium green (138B) lower surface. Leaves are 55mm (2 3/16”) long x 29mm
(1 1/8”) wide, elliptic shaped, serrulated edges, acute tips and rounded
bases. Light grayish red (182D) veins; Light grayish red (182D) & medium
green (138B) stems; light grayish red (182B) & light green (139D)
branches. PARENTAGE: ‘Braamt’s Glorie’ x ‘Schimpen’s Glorie’.
Lax upright or stiff trailer. Self branching. Makes good upright or
standard. Prefers overhead filtered light or full sun. Best bloom and
foliage color in limited light. Tested 4 years in Doetinchem, The
Netherlands. Award at Meise, 9/8/03. Distinguished by bloom shape. |
