AFS description: ‘Huet’s Claraiet’ – No 7728 (Braam 2011) Double. Upright. COROLLA: three quarter flared, square shape, wavy petal margins; opens purple (82A), reddish purple (74A) base; matures reddish purple (74A); 25mm (1") long x 25mm (1") wide. PETALOIDS: purple (80A); 5mm (3/16”) long x 3mm (1/8”) wide. SEPALS: half up, tips recurved up; magenta (63B) upper surface; magenta (63A) lower surface; 30mm (1 3/16") long x 15mm (9/16”) wide. TUBE: pink (62A); short, medium thickness; 8mm (5/16”) long x 6mm (1/4”) wide. STAMENS extend 15mm (9/16”) beyond the corolla; magenta (59C) filaments; purple (77A) anthers. PISTIL extends 30mm (1 3/16”) beyond the corolla; light rose (63D) style; yellowish white (158A) stigma. BUD: Round, short. FOLIAGE: medium green (143A) upper surface; light green (143C) lower surface. Leaves are 50mm (2") long x 30mm (1 3/16”) wide, ovate shaped, serrulate edges, acute tips, rounded bases. Veins, stems & branches are green. PARENTAGE: ‘Huet’s Amethist’ x ‘Mazda’. Tall upright. Self branching. Makes good upright, standard, pyramid or pillar. Prefers overhead filtered light, warm climate. Best bloom & foliage color in filtered light. Tested 3 years in Doetinchem, The Netherlands. Fuchsia Nieuwigheden Certificering.
