2004) Single to semi-double. Upright. COROLLA: quarter flared, turned
under wavy petal margins; opens reddish purple (64B); matures dark reddish
purple (64A); 14mm (9/16”) long x 19mm (3/4”) wide. SEPALS: horizontal;
tips reflexed; rose (51C), light pink (49C) base, tipped light yellowish
green (149B) upper surface; rose (52C) tipped light yellowish green (149B)
lower surface; 17mm (11/16”) long x 9mm (3/8”) wide. TUBE: light pink
(49C); long & thin; 30mm (1 3/16”) long x 5mm (3/16”) wide. STAMENS:
extend 2mm (1/16”) below corolla; magenta (67B) filaments; light yellow
(11B) anthers. PISTIL: extends 2mm (1/16”) below the corolla; rose (68C)
style; pale lavender (69C) stigma. BUD: rounded. FOLIAGE: dark green
(137A) upper surface, medium green (138B) lower surface. Leaves are 68mm
(2 11/16”) long x 43mm (1 11/16”) wide, ovate shaped, serrated edges,
acute tips and rounded bases. Light Green (139D) veins; grayish red (181A)
& medium green (138B) stems; grayish red (181C) & medium green (138B)
branches. PARENTAGE: ‘WALZ Harp’ x ‘WALZ Saxofoon’.
Small upright. Makes good upright or standard. Prefers full sun.
Best bloom and foliage color in bright light. Tested 4 years in Doetinchem,
The Netherlands. Award at Meise, 9/8/03. Distinguished by bloom color. |
