AFS description: ‘Huet's Carboniet’- No. 8259 (Braam 2013) Double. Upright/Trailer. COROLLA: half flared, wavy petal margins; opens purple (83A) veined red; matures purple (83B); 30mm (1 3/16”) long x 20mm (3/4”) wide. PETALOIDS: reddish purple (60D); 12mm (7/16”) long x 2mm (1/16”) wide. SEPALS are half up, tips recurved up; dark reddish purple (60B) tipped dark yellowish green (149A) upper surface; dark reddish purple (60C) tipped dark yellowish green (149A) lower surface; 30mm (1 3/16") long x 8mm (5/16") wide. TUBE is magenta (63A); medium length & thickness; 12mm (7/16") long x 4mm (1/8”) wide. STAMENS extend 20mm (3/4”) beyond the corolla; dark rose (58C) filaments; white (155C) anthers. PISTIL extends 10mm (3/8”) beyond the corolla; dark reddish purple (60A) style; dark reddish purple (59A) stigma. BUD is globular. FOLIAGE is medium green (143A) upper surface; light green (145D) lower surface. Leaves are 60mm (2 3/8") long x 30mm (1 3/16") wide, elliptic shaped, wavy edges, acute tips, rounded bases. Veins are light green (143D), stems & branches are dark grayish purple (184A). PARENTAGE: ‘Huet’s Mulliet’ x ‘Huet’s Bariet’. Lax upright or stiff trailer. Self branching. Makes good basket or upright. Prefers full sun, warm climate. Best bloom & foliage color in bright light. Tested 3 years in Doetinchem, The Netherlands. Fuchsia Nieuwigheden Certificering.
